A lot of legal work cuts across more than one regulator at once, commercial paper is governed by both RBI and SEBI and a restructuring can touch RBI, SEBI, and IBBI together. But each regulator only publishes on its own site, so there's no easy way to track updates across all three, especially where subject matter overlaps. Regulatory Monitor solves that: it scrapes RBI, SEBI, and IBBI directly and gives you one platform to search, track, and verify across all three. Its strongest feature is Check Validity: a two-stage check for whether a circular or direction has been repealed or superseded, even when the newer document never explicitly names the old one. Alongside that: personalized email alerts (with the exact reason each alert matched, not a black box), an AI assistant that answers regulatory questions with direct citations back to primary sources, and a compliance checker that compares an internal policy against a regulation and flags gaps with severity ratings and suggested fix language. Built as a proof of concept, not production-ready, by banking & finance lawyers using Claude Code, because this is a problem we've run into directly in practice, not a hypothetical one. Currently scoped to RBI, SEBI, and IBBI, but the same architecture extends naturally to other regulators such as MCA, IRDAI etc. toward a single, consolidated regulatory intelligence platform. Note on scale: what you're seeing live is a curated 100-document sample, intentionally scoped for free-tier hosting. This isn't a ceiling on the platform itself. The scraping, indexing, and search pipeline has already been tested against a wider corpus (1,000+ documents). Incorporating each regulator's complete document set is a matter of infrastructure, not redesign - the more complete the corpus, the stronger every feature becomes. That's an upgrade this platform is built to scale into.

Key Features
- Two-stage supersession checker: deterministic reference matching, plus a semantic check for regulations superseded without being explicitly named.
- Personalized email digests that show exactly why each alert matched - keyword or semantic.
- AI assistant with recency and supersession awareness, citing primary sources directly rather than relying on general web knowledge.
- Compliance checker comparing an internal policy against a regulation, with severity-tagged findings, suggested remediation language, and a downloadable PDF report.
- Grow the corpus yourself - paste a regulator URL or upload a PDF directly.

Looking for feedback from compliance and regulatory practitioners on whether the alerts and supersession logic match how they'd actually use this day to day. Also happy to hear from anyone else building in legal tech.
