The Privacy Desk

The Privacy Desk is a privacy and data protection compliance platform designed to assist organisations and legal professionals in understanding, assessing, and managing their obligations under India’s evolving data protection framework. A key feature of the platform is the DPDP Compliance Audit, which provides a structured, organisation-specific assessment of compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the applicable DPDP Rules. The audit evaluates an organisation across key areas such as personal data collection and processing, notice and consent, data principal rights, security safeguards, data breach management, retention and deletion practices, grievance redressal, and other relevant statutory obligations. Based on the information provided by the user, it identifies areas of compliance, compliance gaps, potential risks, and recommended corrective measures, enabling organisations to understand their current compliance position and prioritise remediation. In addition, The Privacy Desk provides a separate Enforcement Tracker that brings together relevant enforcement actions, regulatory orders, penalties, and developments in the data protection space, helping users understand emerging regulatory trends and how privacy obligations are being applied and enforced in practice.
