About the Project

KanoonAI brings a litigation matter's papers, facts, orders and draft work into one workspace, helping lawyers keep the next step connected to its source.

The public demo follows the fictional matter Mehra v. Arora. Explore an order's proposed obligations, an 18-paragraph reply with explicit missing facts, and adversarial findings linked to the reviewed paragraphs. Search the bundled papers and draft, inspect source passages, download recorded artifacts, and print a hearing preparation checklist. An unknown service date stays unresolved.

The public demo is a read-only reader of recorded outputs. The private prototype also implements editable, versioned drafting and five legal skills: order reading, research, reply drafting, adversarial review and hearing briefing. Fresh AI runs and editing require that separately configured application.

Built by Rishabh Jain, lawyer and developer, and Anshul Goyal, developer, at Navlaw, Jaipur. Development used Claude Code and Codex. Built on MIKEoss under GNU AGPLv3. All demonstration papers and parties are fictional. The public reader source is available; the full application repository is private.

Help Needed

Feedback from litigators on source-checking, reply preparation and hearing readiness. We would welcome a supervised pilot using synthetic or appropriately authorised papers to assess useful corrections and preparation time.
