In busy High Court practice, chambers routinely send interns or junior advocates to stand outside courtrooms just to watch the item-number board and report back when a matter is close to being called. It's a waste of junior legal talent, and it's error-prone - item calls get missed or mixed up, and when a senior is juggling matters across several courtrooms on the same day, two can approach "call" at almost the same time with no warning system to catch it.

CauseBoard is a coordination platform built around a single shared "chamber": a team head creates one master login, and juniors/co-counsels join using a chamber key and password. Once linked, case assignments, live courtroom status, and manual corrections sync instantly across everyone's device, whether they're at a desk or standing in the hallway outside a courtroom.

The platform pulls live item-number data from the Karnataka High Court's Bengaluru Principal Bench board during court hours, shows it to both the senior and the assigned junior (not just the senior), and gives whoever is physically present in the courtroom a manual +1/−1 control to correct the number if the official feed lags or mismatches reality. A control-room dashboard tracks every matter the chamber has that day across every courtroom, flags item-gap "clashes" with tiered urgency, and lets a senior who's stuck in one courtroom instantly reassign a matter about to be called to a co-counsel with buffer to spare - who can then request a passover or argue the matter themselves using an AI-generated brief pulled from the uploaded case file.
