Compass is a calm, accessible mobile app for parents and carers of neurodiverse and/or depressed children in England. It turns a confusing, high-stakes system into manageable steps:
- Personalised plan. A short, gentle intake (the child's age and your current stage) builds a tailored, step-by-step action plan for your situation.
- Step-by-step tracks. Each step explains what it is, why it matters, and what to do — for EHCP requests, moving from DLA to PIP, school support, and appeals — with progress you can check off.
- Plain-English guides and glossary. Jargon-free explainers of EHCPs, the law, your rights, and how benefits work, every legal term defined.
- Letter generator. Council- and DWP-ready letters you personalise with a few simple questions, then copy or share.
- Form helpers (DLA and PIP). Walks you through each part of the claim in everyday language, capturing the real daily impact — and lets you reuse your DLA answers as a starting point for PIP.
- Deadline tracker. Works out statutory deadlines from the dates you enter and reminds you before they fall due, so nothing is missed.
- Always-on crisis support. One tap from any screen reaches an urgent-help screen with 999 guidance, a self-check, and trusted contacts (Samaritans, Childline, NHS 111, and more).
- Privacy and scope: Everything is stored only on your device — no accounts, no sign-in, no data sent anywhere. Compass covers England only and provides information, not legal or medical advice.
