About the Project

CaseVerify is a legal evidence-review tool that helps lawyers quickly check whether the documents and annexures in a case actually support the facts stated in the case record.

In litigation, a case may contain hundreds or even thousands of pages of pleadings, orders, correspondence, invoices, notices and other supporting documents. Lawyers often have to manually go through these documents to answer a simple but crucial question: “Where is the evidence for this fact, and does it actually match what has been stated?”

This process is time-consuming and can easily lead to missed contradictions, incorrect dates, unsupported statements or documents being linked to the wrong factual event.

CaseVerify simplifies this entire exercise. A lawyer uploads the main case document along with the supporting evidence. CaseVerify identifies the important events in the case—such as a notice being issued, a payment being made, an agreement being signed or an order being passed—and automatically checks the uploaded evidence against those events.

Instead of making the lawyer manually compare every document, CaseVerify brings the relevant event and supporting document together and tells the user whether the evidence is a Strong Match, Partial Match, Mismatch, Missing Evidence, or Needs Review.

For example, if the case states that a demand notice for ₹10 lakh was issued on 15 March, but the uploaded notice is actually dated 18 March and demands ₹8 lakh, CaseVerify flags the discrepancy and shows the exact source pages and text on which the finding is based.

The lawyer can then review the original source, add notes, change the classification if necessary, and generate a consolidated report.

The aim is not to replace the lawyer's judgment. It is to reduce hours of mechanical document checking and help lawyers find factual inconsistencies, missing support and important evidence faster and more systematically.

Practice Areas

Key Features

Key Features

  1. Automatic Case Timeline — Upload the main case document and CaseVerify identifies important factual events and converts them into a structured chronology.

  2. **Bulk Evidence Upload **— Upload multiple annexures and supporting documents together instead of checking and attaching documents one by one.

  3. **Automatic Evidence Matching **— CaseVerify checks the uploaded evidence against the events in the case and identifies which documents are relevant to which events. One document can support multiple events, and one event can be checked against multiple documents.

  4. **Clear Verification Results **— Each comparison is placed into an easy-to-understand category: Strong Match, Partial Match, Mismatch, Missing Evidence, or Needs Review. This allows lawyers to immediately focus on potential problems rather than reading every document from scratch.

  5. Detects Factual Discrepancies — CaseVerify can flag differences in important details such as dates, amounts, names, document contents and other factual assertions between the case record and supporting evidence.

  6. Source-Linked Findings — Every finding is linked back to the exact page and relevant text in the source document. The lawyer can therefore verify why something has been flagged instead of simply relying on the result.

  7. Side-by-Side Review — The relevant case event and evidence can be reviewed together, making it easier to understand exactly where they agree or differ.

  8. **Lawyer Remains in Control **— The lawyer can add notes and manually confirm or change a classification. CaseVerify assists the review process; the final legal assessment always remains with the lawyer.

  9. Review Report — Once the review is complete, CaseVerify generates a consolidated PDF report containing the findings, discrepancies, source references, suggested corrections and the lawyer's own notes and decisions.

  10. Previous Reviews Are Preserved — A lawyer can run the verification again when new evidence is received without losing earlier findings, notes or decisions, creating a useful review history for the case.
