About the Project

In most international arbitrations, lawyers will spend hours assembling a procedural timetable from scratch – cross-referencing institutional rules, calculating interdependent deadlines manually, avoiding blackout dates and bank holidays, considering appropriate intervals and formatting the result for a Procedural Order. When the hearing window shifts (e.g., because of an interim application or new development), the whole exercise starts over. It's repetitive, manual work that is a natural candidate for a purpose-built tool.

Introducing... Cadence.

Cadence is a procedural timetable generator built specifically for international arbitration. By selecting your arbitral rules and entering a handful of key dates, Cadence will produce a full, editable timetable with every deadline calculated automatically.

Key Features

Full editing flexibility. Add, delete, reorder, and adjust steps. Tick them off as you go. Update party details and matter metadata at any point.

Dashboard. See all your active matters in one place so you know what's coming up and where you need to focus.

Deadline checker. A separate module that enables ad hoc checking against the time periods stated in the applicable rules so you can be sure of the default deadlines and act accordingly to amend/vary them.

Print-ready output. One click produces a clean, formatted timetable for attachment to a Procedural Order.

Outlook integration. Download calendar invitations for any deadline straight from the timetable. Dates go into diaries the moment the timetable is finalised.

Blackout-date handling. Feed in blackout dates for the tribunal or parties, and Cadence reshuffles around them, suggesting alternatives without breaking the sequence.

Hearing Timetable Generator. Coming soon - enabling you to go the final mile and efficiently organise and distribute time across the parties and Tribunal at the hearing, with all the same flexibiloty and power of Cadence.
