Conscientious AI use for lawyers

About the Project

AI is increasingly utlised by lawyers across all areas of legal practice. AI Contribute Law encourages lawyers to think about the wider implications of this AI usage, particularly environmental harms and the problematic treatment of workers within the AI industry.

Lawyers can input brief details of their AI usage to calcuate a period of time they should spend offsetting the potential costs and harms. Following the assessment they will receive tailored recommendations enabling them to contribute to AI safety, governance and policy in a range of ways, from following a relevant organisation on LinkedIn to undertaking a course or responding to a relevant government consultation.

This harnesses legal expertise to contribute to the fields of AI safety, governance and policy and enables lawyers to contribute in cost-effective ways, regardless of their previous knowledge and expertise in these areas.
